Cranberry Walnut Turkey Rolls

This pinwheels or rolls are a classic snack for parties. Easy, light and convenient make ahead appetizer and sooo many combinations to choose from. This one is a classic cranberry walnut recipe with only five basic ingredients and no cooking, equipment or skills needed! Great recipe to involve the kids and introduce them to cooking.

Ingredients:

8oz or 1 block of cream cheese

1/4 cup of dried cranberries

1/4 cup of chopped roasted walnuts

16 oz turkey breast you can use more or less depending on your taste.

4 burrito flour tortillas

Method:

Soften the cream cheese or at least bring it to room temperature.

Add the cranberries and walnuts to the cream cheese and mix until even or just layer each ingredient in the tortilla as shown.

Once the ingredients are spread evenly in the tortilla layer the turkey breast to cover everything evenly. use as many layers as you like.

Roll tightly and cut just the ends to make it even, it should look like a sushi roll. With a very sharp knife slice the whole roll in slices and place evenly on a plate.

At this point if you’re making it ahead of time just cover them with wrap and store in the fridge until ready to eat. Another option is to store in airtight containers and plate when ready. I usually layer clean and dry lettuce leaves in the plate and then place the rolls on top but you do you.

Garnish with chopped chives or parsley before serving.
